Dispatching is not for the faint of heart, the impatient, the weak or the unintelligent. Often making split-second decisions that may impact the lives of others and frequently with limited information and fuzzy details, each dispatcher carries a courage and a mental fortitude unmatched by any other.
Dispatchers are the voice in the darkness, the unseen first responders, all the while protecting the protectors.

Each year, the second  full  week of April is dedicated to the men and women who serve as public safety telecommunicators or what we often call dispatchers.

The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office is very proud of its group of dispatchers, employing 9 certified full-time dispatchers, 4 certified part-time dispatchers and 1 non-certified part-time dispatcher; not just employees but dedicated members of the law enforcement community.
