Co-Lin, The W expand partnership to include business programs

WESSON – Copiah-Lincoln Community College and Mississippi University for Women (The W) have expanded their partnership to provide new opportunities for Co-Lin graduates to earn their bachelor’s degree in business at The W.

The new 2+2 agreement, meaning two years of course work at Co-Lin and two years of course work at The W, was signed recently on the college’s Wesson Campus. The agreement means both institutions will work together to successfully enroll Co-Lin students in the Bachelor of Business Administration degree programs after they graduate from Co-Lin. Students who enroll in the business administration degree program can choose from a variety of concentrations including health care management, accounting, marketing, sports management, general business, human resources management, nonprofit management and information systems.

“Agreements of this nature are important to what we do at Co-Lin,” said President Dr. Jane Hulon Sims. “Each day we strive to provide our students with the best opportunities for success, both while at Co-Lin and after they complete their time here. Our continued partnership with The W is one example of that.”

Co-Lin and The W have two other 2+2 agreements currently, one for culinary arts and one for elementary education.

On hand for the signing was seated from left, MUW Dean of College of Business and Professional Studies Dr. Marty Brock; MUW President Nora Miller; Co-Lin President Dr. Jane Hulon Sims; Co-Lin Dean of Academic Instruction Dr. Stephanie Duguid; standing from left, MUW Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Scott Tollison; Co-Lin Executive Vice President Dr. Dewayne Middleton; and Co-Lin Vice President of the Wesson Campus Jackie Martin.
