The kindergarten students at Magee Elementary enjoyed a Community Day on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. The students began their day with a trip to the United States Pos office! The elves (employees) were working diligently to get all the letters and packages loaded in their “sleigh” for delivery.
The students brought their letter for Santa to mail. Santa himself, Mike Keith, was present to greet each child and accept their letter for delivery.
The children enjoyed their tour of the post office and were pretty amazed at the number of packages and letters. Most of all, the children wanted to be sure Santa could find them for Christmas.
Post Master Trish Bar and clerk Candy Maddox led the tour.
The children are learning about our community. They visited the fire station, City Hall, and the police department.
There is nothing like Christmas through the eyes of a child!
