Thursday has been a busy day!  Patrice and I attended the Ribbon Cutting at the new Field House at Magee High School.  The facility is awesome!  I took a few pictures to share and made two videos which I will post later.  Hopefully, once all the equipment is in the Field House, I can take ya’ll on a virtual tour!

Following Trojan football practice today, the players will bring the equipment to the new field house!  What an exciting day.

The Ribbon Cutting was well attended by the public.  In fact, there were so many people in attendance, I couldn’t get them all in one picture!…so I just took candid shots!

This field house has been long in coming!  I don’t know how many years the present field house has been used…but it is a bunch.  Mayor Dale Berry stated that when he attend MHS in the mid 70’s (Dale graduated in 1975) and coached 1982-85, the field house was old then!

Former Magee High School Coach Danny Cowart, and now President of the Simpson County School Board, led his team to a State Championship.  He is quite impressed with the new place.  He remembers well the days spent in the old field house.

Magee is getting another liquor store!  I think this will be #5.  The store is located in the old Economy Heating and Cooling building near Sunbelt Finance.

Now, I told ya’ll I was going to start sharing pictures of houses in Magee whose owners are doing a great job of keeping their property (homes) clean.  Today, I am sharing 2 properties. Help me out by sending pictures of homes looking good!  Send to Sue

Thanks to the city for cleaning the area up old 49 past Outdoor Power.  Many people refer to an area in the south bound lane as the old Luvell milk place, the area has been cleaned!

I hope everyone has a great rainy day!  Trojan, Cougar, and Tiger football Friday night!
