Following the heavy storms that moved through the area in the early hours of the morning, the city’s building inspector asks that everyone affected by the storm make sure that any contractors (from doing home repairs to cutting trees) be licensed by the City of Magee.

Contractors are issued license cards by the building inspector. If you are not sure if the contractor is licensed, ask the contractor to provide the license. If they can not provide a license, contact City Hall, and city staff will check for you.

As a reminder, citizens are advised not to pay contractors in full until all work is completed. “Remember if you pay for them to trim a tree, you are also paying them to haul it away,” said the building inspector.
