At the October 6, 2020 City of Magee Board of Aldermen meeting, six streets were recommended for additional paving. These areas are not included in the actual paving budget for the year.
An amendment to the Budget was required to include the amount of $26,850. The Board approved the amendment contingent on the additional paving not affecting original funds from the Paving Budgeted amount.
The company, paving Main Street, had additional asphalt which allowed the city to pave several short areas at a lesser expense.
Streets included in additional paving proposal:
Logan and North Hill Drive—$4,950
11th Avenue NW—$4,950
12th Avenue SE—$4,950
Choctaw Street extension from Main—$4,000
1st Street extension from Main—$4,000
2nd Street extension from Main—$4,000
Total: $26,850
