Brenda Joyce Walker, 81 of Harrisville, MS passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at her residence in Harrisville, MS. She was born Saturday, March 11, 1944 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Unity Baptist Church in Georgetown. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Unity Baptist Church, followed by funeral services. Burial will take place at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Scott Sones and Bro. Keith Smith will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401.
She was a first grade teacher for 21 years. She was very passionate about her career. She also loved working in her vegetable and flower garden. She was very dedicated to her church and loved leading the music for many years. Her true love of life was spending time with her family. Sunday lunches and rocking her grand-babies were some of her favorite things to do.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sells Walker, Jr.; parents, JP and Wilma Dean Keen;  brother, John Keen;  sisters, Betty  Keen and Martha  Sharbrough.
Survivors include her sons, Tommy  Walker  (Jill), Ronnie  Walker  (Lashell) and David  Walker  (Christy ); daughters, Teresa  Taylor  (Andy) and Mary  Floyd  (James);  grandchildren, Jacob  Walker, Ashley  Cannon  (Shane), Jordan  Taylor  (Harley), Shelbey  Hawley  (Austin ), Tatum  Brown  (Jake ), Mattie Walker, Emma Walker, Mia Walker, Annalyse Floyd, Austin  Floyd and Abby  Floyd; great grandchildren, Chase  Cannon, Brantley  Cannon, Ava  Cannon, John  Anthony  Taylor, Walker  Hawley and Cooper Brown;  sisters, Carol  Thomas  (Troy), Cindy  Easterling  (Scott );  brother-in-law, Bill  Sharbrough.; and a host of  nieces and nephews.
