The Commission on Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks unanimously voted to award Brian and Becky Clark, owners of B&B Archery in Pearl, MS, the Mississippi Outstanding Sportsman Award. This is in recognition of their achievements as promoters of natural resource conservation and outdoor recreation. They have excelled in recruiting, training, and equipping new archers and hunters.
The Mississippi Outstanding Sportsman award is one of great honor and held to the highest standard. It is awarded to someone who has contributed to the outdoors of Mississippi through conservation, mentorship, and stewardship. In previous years, wildlife conservation influencers such as Cuz Strickland and Will Primos have been awarded.
The Clarks purchased Bills Archery in Pearl in 2010 and that is when B&B Archery was born. The Clarks have mentored many youth, adults, and new archers at the store’s in-house shooting range.
The Clarks go above and beyond by supporting Rankin County Schools’ Archery In Mississippi Schools (AIMS) programs, sharing their passion for archery and leaving everyone who visits their facility excited for the sport.
“On behalf of The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks and The Commission on Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, we extend our sincerest gratitude to Brian and Becky Clark at B&B Archery for their continued hard work and dedication supporting our Mississippi hunters and ambassadors of this state’s natural resource conservation” said MDWFP Executive Director, Lynn Posey.
