Another Sunday Water Break in Magee

Sunday morning, October 17, 2021, a water main broke in the Goodwater Community around 9 PM. Only seven days prior, a water main broke on Sunday, October 10th on I49 north.

According to Mayor Berry and city workers, the old pipes are the problem. “Some of these lines are probably over 50 years old.”

The pump used to remove the water broke. The workers were waiting for the pump to be repaired to complete their job.

Asphalt removed to began work on capping the leak.

The shovel in the back of the picture is where the actual leak is located.
