I realized during the night that liquid gold was falling from the sky—rain that is.

We’ve suffered so much drought just the sound of rain makes me happy.

Often when it rains, I start thinking…which probably isn’t a good thing.  The earth is still so my mind goes crazy!

I attended  the Simpson County Board of Supervisors meeting Friday, November 15th and as always learned a lot.

Just a couple of things:  The Highway 28 bridge will be closed at least another year!  Issues have arisen with the

out of state contractor.  The situation is not the supervisors fault…but usually we don’t cut them much slack…but really not their fault.

The county does not recognize a water bill as a utility bill in the paying of a solid waste bill…must be power company bill.

The fire department cooks the best turkey breasts ever—I think there is still time to order for Thanksgiving…go by the fire department $45.

Why don’t people and companies do what they say they are going to do?  The city is dealing with a company (paving )that is going to make all of us pull out our hair.  Just do what you said you were going to do!!!

Why is everything so slow through the city?  When I first became a part of the Board of Aldermen, long time alderman Lane Steele told me…”nothing happens fast with the city (government).”  Boy was he telling the truth.

Why don’t people clean up their yards?  I understand if someone is older and has no help  (let us know)…but we’ve got healthy people just letting the trash, grass, old cars, junk fill their yards.  Lets clean up Magee.

Tiffany Kinslow is wonder woman!  She is the driving force along with Lee Maddox in the Christmas decorating.  The Magee Development and Improvement committee (Dot Nichols, Cameron McAlpin, Tyler Cheramie,  Jeff Blackwell, and me) decorated the City Hall area.

The Magee Trojans head to round 3 of the playoffs!  The Trojans are undefeated and will play Jefferson County Friday night, (November 22)

Magee’s Christmas ” Home town Holidays) is scheduled for Thursday, December 5th.  Contact the Chamber if you are interested in participating.  Ya’ll be watching for the “Bonco Babes” in the parade!  Our group has been “rolling” together for 25 years!  We are celebrating by participating in the Christmas Parade.

I like Thanksgiving…but seems like now Christmas comes earlier and earlier.

(You might check this article later…I may add more stuff!).  With a Magee Board of Aldermen meeting tonight (Tuesday/19th), I may have lots to tell!  The meeting will be live streamed beginning at 6 PM
