Have you ever wondered how law enforcement has any idea what to do in an active shooter situation? Well, I saw again first-hand how these guys train with multiple scenarios of shooter situations.

Wednesday night, August 29th, multiple law enforcement men and women converged on Co-Lin Simpson County campus.
Mississippi Highway Patrol, Simpson SO, Mendenhall PD, Magee PD, Florence PD, Polkville PD, Rankin County SO, /Swat Team MBN, Covington County SO, Smith County SO, AMR /SRT team, Co Lin PD, Bullocks Investigation, Co Lin /EMT students, Co Lin and SCLEOTA, DLO town Marshall, Columbia PD, and CLETA(Columbia law Enforcement Training Academy all took part in the excerise. I told ya’ll there were a lot of people!!!

These folks are serious about protecting our citizens.

I was decked out in safety glasses and a pink shirt. (I thought maybe they could see me in pink—I didn’t want to get shot!)

I have several videos. Often, I was dodging bullets and didn’t do the best job filming! But, the videos do give an idea of what goes on at an Active Shooter Training. Special thanks to Mike Davis for filming a segment for me. Clay McPherson for keeping me in the loop! and Matt Gipson for keeping me safe and running the show!

Special appreciation to all the participants of the training. Dedication! They are dedicated! The drill lasted from about 6-9.
