A Day of Tears

As I stood on the side of highway 49 Monday afternoon watching the hearse bearing the body of a young man killed in the line of duty moving down the highway, my heart was breaking. Why? Why? Why? Why do we have these senseless killings …what is gained?…more heartache and fear???

I hope you will take time to watch the film of the procession that passed through Magee…there are no words…only prayers.

The Magee Ladder Fire Truck was placed between the two red lights on 49….the ladder was extended with an American flag at the top of the ladder. Law enforcement agencies from all over Mississippi including our own City of Magee and Simpson County Sheriff vehicles were apart of the escort. The procession was led by motorcycles. Blue lights…red lights…lots of sirens…the shattering of so many lives….

(The film is near the bottom of the home page on MageeNews.com under Featured Video…says Sue’s Adventures…The filming was done in such a hurry that we had to “bank” the video in an already existing area on the site)
