George was a family man, true friend, and natural leader in his community. He loved to help people and treated all people with respect. A man of few words but great action. He would never turn away a friend in need. He loved being a member of the Taylorsville Volunteer Fire Department and went on every call he could, no matter what time of day or night. You could always count on him. A true outdoorsman he loved planting gardens of flowers and watching them grow, especially Roses. In his earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing but then he was bewitched by the game of golf. Once introduced to the sport of Golf, he gave all other area up and dedicated himself to enjoying his time on the course. He spent many hours with friends and family playing a round. He told us he was working to play, meaning he cut the greens and kept the machines up so he could stay and play 18 holes. He will be missed by his community, his golf friends, and most of all his family. Enjoy your golf game in heaven.
