Friends of Josh Walker are hosting a benefit 4 Man Scramble on Thursday, March 4 at Simpson Country Club.
Josh is a Simpson county native who is the epitome of an outdoorsman and all-around great person.  He enjoys fishing, cooking, and hunting.  He is described as a true friend and one of the nicest people you will ever meet.
He faced a near-death experience back in early November when he developed an infection from a small cut on his hand while sharpening his pocket knife.  The infection quickly traveled throughout his body causing multiple complications.  Josh ended up on a ventilator and was in ICU for several weeks during his 2+ months of hospitalization.  He received multiple lifesaving medications that resulted in the loss of blood flow to his limbs.  As a result, he is now a triple-amputee with a long road of recovery ahead of him.
This tournament is being organized by Josh’s friends to raise money that will go directly to him for his medical bills and to help offset costs associated with prosthetics he will receive in the near future.
There are 8 am and 1 pm tee times available; shotgun start.  Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place per flight. Food will be served during check-in which will the hour before each tee time. There will be door prizes and raffles for some great prizes including a Calloway golf bag, a very special bottle of whiskey, and a set of Taylormade M4 irons!
This is a fun tournament for a great cause…put your own team together or let us place you on a team.
