Charlie Valadie, who has served 16 years with the City of Magee Fire Department, was celebrated by his friends and fellow city workers upon his retirement.

Charlie has a total of 45 years of fire experience!

As Fire Marshal, Charlie not only served the fire department but was in charge of emergency management and building codes. “Charlie has a vast knowledge of codes, safety, and firefighting,” stated Fire Chief David Craft, “you can’t put a price on what Charlie knows.”

Charlie has agreed to return to the city at the end of the summer and work part time.  David Craft is moving  to  Charlie’s full time spot at the Fire Department.

Thank you Charlie for your dedication to the citizens of Magee and Simpson County.
