Lynda H. McLendon, 68 of Mendenhall, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Rolling Acres Nursing Home in Raleigh, MS.

Visitation will be held from 5-9 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall.  Visitation will also be held from 11 am until service time on Friday, March 10, 2011. 

Funeral services will be held at 1pm in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be in Merit Cemetery.

Mrs. McLendon was born June 17, 1942 in Rankin County.  She enjoyed reading but mostly loved spending time with her family, expecially her grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Nathan Hall and Winnie Pitman Hall; husband, Larry Mitchell McLendon; sisters, Gloria Johnson, Johnnie Sue Smith.
 
Lynda is survived by her children, Jennifer M. (Dwayne) Abernathy, Mendenhall,Lynn Carmical, Jackson,  Stephanie Paal, Mendenhall, Larrie (Sydney) Ladd, Flowood, Lisa (Phil) Swetz, Dallas, TX; brother: Gary Hall, Jackson; grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Carmical, Brooke Wells, Meghan Venable, Harleigh Abernathy, Tyler McLendon, Mitch Abernathy, Max Swetz; great-grandchildren: Jayden Mallett, Owen Venable
and a host of nieces and nephews.

Lynda is also survived by a special friend,  Brenda Russell,  thanks for all youv'e done over the many years.We would like to especially thankOdyssey Hospice, Erica, April, Jackie, Bro. Raymond, Sheree for all the love and care that they gave, and all the nurses and staff at Rolling Acres Nursing Center.
