The Mississippi Sales Tax holiday started at midnight.  It will go through Saturday. Clothing items that are less than $100.00 will be tax exempt.  Several cities are not participating in the holiday; however, Magee, Flowood, Hattiesburg, and Jackson are participating.  Our local clothing stores such as Stage, Freds, and Walmart should be participating.  This weekend is the time to go shopping for school clothes and save at least 7%.
