Former Mayor and father of owner Skip Russell, Pete Russell and his wife Marsha, had the honor of "cutting" the ribbon to celebrate the opening of Magee's newest highway business, Back Yard Burgers.
A large group of well-wishers joined in the celebration of Skip and Tracy's new business venture.
The ribbon used for the ceremony was "lined" with dollar bills that were later donated to the Magee Fire Department, the organization that Skip and Tracy will continue to support through monetary donations. Skip is an active fireman and knows the needs and dedication of the department.
Brandon Hubbard of Trustmark Bank displays the "money" ribbon with Mayor Clyde and Drummond McAlpin of PriorityOne "eyeing" the dough!!!
Allie Luckey, Magee's Miss Hospitality, in addition to Chamber President Larry Cockrell, Mayor Jimmy Clyde, and pastor Brad VanCleave took part in the 9 o'clock celebration.
Cake, coffee, and punch----not burgers----were enjoyed by the crowd! The burgers came later!!!
...and they are still coming....plan a visit to Back Yard Burgers....you'll be glad you did!!!
