Susan just said it best...."Greg is at peace"

Greg passed away shortly after I wrote the post below. I will keep everyone updated. Food may be taken to their house...but the main meal will be at FBC Family Life Center

Arrangements are incomplete at this time

Diane and I went to St D today (4th) to check on Susan and Greg. The family has gathered together in his room and just spending their last hours/days together.

We did not see Susan or Greg but did have a short "in the hall" visit with Matt and Jennifer.

This may sound weird when I say this...but there is such a beauty in being with someone when they take their last breath on this earth and step into Heaven's gates and Jesus' arms. I feel strange saying I have been "blessed" with this situation several times....but for some reason...I now see it as a blessing. I was with my grandfather when he died. I was with my daddy when he died. I was with my mama when she died. I was with Gilbert when he died. I guess because I was not with Larkin, I see the beauty of this time.

We serve an awesome God....not a God who gives us everything we want in our time...but one who always takes care of His children.

One of the many things I have missed about my daddy and Gilbert was losing a person who always took care of me.....I always knew those two fine men stood beside me in any situation.....Now I'm not saying my mama wasn't there for me every minute...but having a man love you enough to protect you is really unexplainable.

I think I am rambling...but whatever...pray for the Hall family. Susan's brother Joey Horton and Greg's brother Ken were also with the family.

Greg is a man loved by so many.....grant him mercy....
