Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Holds Orientation Session

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at The University of Southern Mississippi held an orientation session Thursday, June 28 at the Peck House for persons interested in joining the organization. OLLI member Henry Hudson was one of several speakers who discussed the various benefits of OLLI membership with those attending the session.

OLLI is an association of active women and men 50 years of age and older who are interested in stimulating learning experiences while developing new friendships. The institute is member-governed, member-driven and primarily peer taught.

The OLLI at Southern Miss began in 1991 as the Institute for Learning in Retirement, offering a variety of non-credit educational programming for mature adults. It is supported by the Bernard Osher Foundation, which supports a growing national network of lifelong learning institutes.
