Sometimes I wonder if my brain really comperhinds what happens when the sun goes down!
Here I am sitting on the front porch visiting with friends as night rolls in...people are passing in cars...so there is still some light...friends leave I head into the house...maybe I should say the tomb....why didn't I have the candles already lit...instead of stumbling all over the house for matches candeles etc....where were the flash lights I have all over my house??? I forgot Preston had visited a few weeks ago and rigged up some spot light system..."dead" flashlights.....Ok, Sue "Miss Be prepared" is making an F....Eventually, I was "enjoying" the dark (which I hate) by candle light.
No internet!!!! No way to post on MageeNews!!!!Phone is dying. I call Breck in Montgomery, Al walk him through posting info....he is so proud of himself...of course we argue for 5 minutes over the spelling of Entergy. I told him I had written enough checks to that business to know how to spell the name! Bless Breck's heart...he did a great job and got the info posted.
Dana Puckett has some great pictures for us...which I'm waiting for...but what I do know is the substation caught on fire ....the fire department was not requested by Entergy because they usually handle their own electrical fires if possible. Magee PD reminded on stand by to keep anyone for entering the area. A substation crew is dispatched to Magee from Brookhaven. Lights began to come on in Magee and surrounding around after midnight.
I always forget how we depend on lights until they are out....but isn't that the same with our lives and people in our lives...we take them for granted until they are gone....and then that deep dark hole remains forever....

The last I heard lights were out all the way to Mize. I had no idea that substation controlled so much of our world!!!
I will be "off and on" the website this weekend! I am meeting Dickey and boys, Breck, Linda and Mary Lacy in Madison for lunch and to attend Preston's ballgame. Larkin and Carolyn are in Nashville at Carolyn's sister, Corley's baby shower. Larkin, Carolyn, and Breck will be in Magee on Monday! I am so excited! I do not get my family together as much as I would like...so forgive me if I don't report something immediately...I'm going to love on the people I love!
