Dora Waudeena Walters Ware, 97, passed from this life Sunday, June 10, 2012. in Lafayette, LA.

Waudeena was born in Leaksville, MS, but called Magee, MS, her home where she was married to Charley H. Ware for 56 years.  Waudeena graduated college in 1936 and had a long teaching career in Texas, Mississippi, and Alabama where she touched the lives of many of her students.

Ms. Ware is survived by her daughter, Carmen Kinnett, and her son, Joe Ware married to Kay, along with her sister, Jo McLelland.  She leaves three grandchildren, Jeffery Kinnett and wife Nina, Joey Kinnett and wife Tracy, Lauren Kinnett Bamburg and her husband, Courtney,  along with two step-grandchildren, Gretchen and Chad Taylor.  She loved her eight  great-grandchildren Ashlie Kinnett, Megan Kinnett, Tiffany Kinnett Perrin married to Stan, Jordan Kinnett married to JoAnna, Sarah Kinnett, Courtlyn, Madalyn, and Charlee Bamburg.  Her joy was also in having six great-great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Rylie, and Kaycie Clark, Bennett and Kellen Perrin, Levi Kinnett, and a precious one due in July.  The numerous nieces and nephews will miss her also.   

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charley her parents, Warren James and Laura Mae Medearis Walters three sisters, Bessie, Mavis, Laura Grey and two brothers, Bob and Dudley Walters, and her special son-in-law, Dexter Kinnett, who diligently cared for her until his passing.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 amon Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Magee United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Magee City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee.

Pallbearers are Jeffery Kinnett, Joey Kinnett, Jordan Kinnett, Courtney Bamburg, Stan Perrin, and Chad Taylor.  Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Hudson, Ralph McLelland, Clyde David Brooks, Randy Walters, Phil Walters, and Charles Seab.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
